JANGAON: A 10th class student from St Thomas School in Station Ghanpur died by suicide by jumping under a train. The incident occurred on Friday morning after the student fled from the school hostel.

The school management informed the student's parents and lodged a complaint with the police after discovering that the boy had run away. Later, the student's body was found near the railway gate at Vangalapalli in Chilpur mandal, where he had taken his own life by jumping under a moving train.

Relatives of the student blamed the school's negligence, claiming that the absence of a watchman allowed the boy to flee the hostel. They demanded action against the school management for operating without proper security. The student hailed from Uppugallu village in Jaffergad mandal.
