KAMAREDDY: Blaming the BJP for spiralling prices of essential commodities, petrol, and diesel, BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) said that the BJP would never reach the 400 mark in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a roadshow in Kamareddy on Wednesday, KCR said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decade-long rule was limited to rhetoric and slogans. ‘He gave 150 slogans. He said he would bring ‘Ache Din’ but gave ‘Sache Din’. What happened to Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas and Make India slogans,” KCR pointed out.

Citing the latest surveys, KCR said that the BJP would not be able to cross 200 seats and the hopes of BJP reaching 400 seats would be a distant dream. “Ab Ki bar 400 par is not happening. The only thing that will cross the 400 mark will be the fuel prices if you elect BJP,” KCR said.

Pointing out that Narendra Modi always nurtured a grudge against Telangana, KCR said that Narendra Modi in a recent election campaign in north India repeated ‘Congress killed the mother and saved child’ rhetoric ridiculing the formation of Telangana State.

He said that the same BJP at the Centre snatched seven mandals and the Sileru hydel power project from the newborn State of Telangana and handed over the same to Andhra Pradesh. “Now he wants to give away Godavari River water to Tamil Nadu, by robbing Telangana,” he observed.

Blaming the Congress for withdrawal of permission to the disbursement of the last leg of the Rythu Bandhu scheme until May 13, KCR held Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responsible for violating the Model Code of Conduct. KCR said that the Congress Government had failed to implement its promises to Telangana's people, including the Rs two lakh crop loan waiver, Rs 2,500 for women, and one tola gold under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.

“I am afraid, Revanth Reddy will soon scrap Rytu Bima also. Already the fee reimbursement scheme was put on hold. After the Lok Sabha elections, Revanth Reddy would also scarp the new districts that were carved by me after the formation of the State. Even Kamareddy will no longer be a separate district,” he said.

Later addressing another roadshow in Medak, KCR said that all the projects and development programmes that the BRS had conceived and implemented were scrapped by the Congress Government.

“We developed Ghanpur Anicut which was once neglected by the Congress Government. The 100-bed hospital which we developed in Medak was scaled down now by the Congress Government and Rs 25 crore given by the BRS Government for Ramayampet was taken back,” KCR said.

He said that ‘Haldivagu’ in Medak was linked with the Mallannasagar so that crops would receive year-long irrigation. “The Congress Government is planning to discontinue that link,” he pointed out.

He urged the students, intellectuals, and farmers not to vote in haste. “Protect BRS and it will fight for you in the Parliament. People believed the false promises of Congress and defeated us. But now people have realised that they were cheated by the Congress,” KCR said.

He urged the voters to defeat BJP’s Raghunandan Rao and elect former IAS officer Venkatrami Reddy who promised to establish a Trust with Rs 100 crore for the development of the Lok Sabha Constituency.
