HYDERABAD: BRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao is set to resume his roadshow as part of his election campaign following the expiry of his 48-hour ban on May 3, 2024, at 8 p.m. After the ban lifts, KCR's bus trip and roadshow will proceed as previously scheduled.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) imposed a 48-hour ban on former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao from campaigning, in response to a complaint lodged by Congress leader Niranjan Reddy. The complaint cited highly objectionable remarks made by KCR against the Congress party and its leaders during a media conference held on April 5 in Sircilla district, which were found to be in violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
