Gadwal ACP shunted out for campaigning with BJP leader

MUNUGODE: A senior police officer was shunted out of his position as punishment for allegedly taking part in the Munugode by-election campaigning along with a local BJP leader in Sansthan Narayanpur.

Ramulu Naik, Additional Superintendent of Police (ACP) in Gadwal was moved out of his current position and attached to the DGP's office. Orders have been issued by the DGP's office to this effect. Ramulu Naik has reportedly got himself involved in the by-election campaigning in complete violation of rules for the government servants. Government officials, including the police, are prohibited to have open political affiliations and favouring a political outfit or taking part in election campaigning is considered a serious violation.
