HYDERABAD: People in Greater Hyderabad expressed their desire for K Chandrashekar Rao to continue as the Chief Minister of Telangana, which is why not a single seat was allocated to the Congress in Greater Hyderabad, said BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday.

While addressing a roadshow in Kondapur, Hyderabad, on Monday, KTR said, "Let me share a strategy for those who believe governance was better under KCR. Simply vote for the car symbol on May 13, 2024. Give us 10-12 seats, and KCR will regain control of state politics within six months. Your affection for KCR is evident, so refrain from considering other parties."

"In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made numerous promises, including depositing Rs. 15 lakhs into bank accounts, providing houses, and introducing bullet trains. However, he failed to fulfill these promises. Hyderabad received no financial assistance for the last ten years. The BRS government developed multiple flyovers and established many IT companies in Hyderabad but no aid was provided when the city faced flooding during heavy rains," he added.

"Why support the BJP solely based on their temple-building rhetoric? If temple construction is a criterion for voting, remember it was KCR who oversaw the construction of the Yadadrigutta temple," said KTR.

"People like Rahul Gandhi claim that BRS is the BJP's B-team but don't believe such allegations. If we were allied with the BJP, would my sister have spent 50 days in jail? Only KCR can counter Modi and this is achievable with the support of leaders like KCR, Kejriwal, and Stalin, who are actively opposing the BJP," said KTR.
