KCR performs Raja Shyamala Yagam at Erravalli, wishes prosperity to Telugu people

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) along with his wife began performing the Raja Shyamala Yagam at his Erravalli farmhouse to wish prosperity for Telugu people in both the States on Wednesday.

The yagam would be performed for three days under the supervision of Visakha Sharada Peethadhipati Sri Swami Swaroopananda Saraswati.

The yagam was performed under the auspices of Vedic scholars from Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

As part of the Yagam, Swarupanandendra Saraswati administered the yagam with KCR by performing various services such as Guru and Devata Pratara, Maha Sankalpa, Ganapati Pooja, Swasti Punyahavachana, Acharyaadi Ritvigvarana Yagashala Samskara, Go Pooja, Sahasra Modaka Ganapati Homa, Adityadi Navagraha Homa, Navakshari Mula Mantra Japa Anusthana, Rahu Brihaspati Nandhi Shanti, Trailokya Mohana, Gauri Homam, Aghorastra Homam, Chandi Saptashati recitations, Chaturveda recitations, Mahamangalarathi, Mantrapushpa Ashtavadhana.

Swaroopananda Saraswati conducted the yagam services along with KCR and later offered theertha prasadam to the BRS president and his wife. KCR said that he performed the yagam for well-being of both the Telugu states.

Swaroopananda Saraswati acknowledged that Hyderabad had emerged as a global city during KCR's rule and that he had read the Mahabharata and has good knowledge of Hindu philosophy. He wished KCR would have the blessings of Rajashyamala.
