KTR accuses centre of exploiting poor, issues bold challenge to BJP

SIRCILLA: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao on Monday slammed the centre on Monday, accusing it of exploiting the poor over the past decade.

Addressing a BRS cadre meeting in Thangallapalli, Sircilla district, KTR criticised the centre for looting crores through taxes on petrol and diesel, totaling Rs. 30 lakh crores over the last ten years. He also said that PM Modi loans waived off Rs. 14.5 lakh crores belonging to Adani and Ambani. Challenging BJP leaders, KTR declared he would resign if his statements were proven wrong.

Appealing to the people of Telangana to help BRS win 10-12 parliamentary seats, KTR said, "By giving us 10-12 seats, you will ensure KCR's continued leadership in state politics." Admitting some discontent among the people of Thangallapalli, KTR appealed for forgiveness for any unintentional mistakes.

Refuting BJP's efforts to make Hyderabad a Union Territory, KTR emphasised KCR's efforts in temple construction and infrastructure development.

Regarding promises made by rival Revanth Reddy, KTR questioned the fulfillment of loan waivers and benefits for farmers and women. He criticised the Congress for failed promises and accused them of perpetuating lies even after assuming power. He said power cuts and water shortages since Congress came to power.

Questioning the reasons to vote for BJP candidate Bandi Sanjay in Karimnagar, KTR highlighted KCR's contributions to temple construction and irrigation projects and urged voters to support the BRS in the ensuing Loksabha elections.

KTR slammed Modi for the alleged increase in prices despite a decrease in crude oil prices and questioned why petrol and diesel prices continue to rise.
