NIZAMABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao has said that the Telangana Government started the distribution of ‘Rytu Bandhu’ financial assistance to farmers fearing his ‘Poru Baata’ Bus Yatra.

Addressing a massive street corner public meeting on Monday said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy finally accepted defeat and ordered the distribution only because KCR hit the road and started a state-wide movement demanding implementation of Rytu Bandhu, crop loan waiver, and Rs 500 bonus for farmers.

“However, the Chief Minister might limit the distribution to farmers with five acres of land. Hence, we need to continue our pressure so that everyone who benefitted during the BRS Government receives the benefit,” KCR said.

Coming heavily on the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the former Chief Minister said that the BJP which gave 150 slogans during the past decade failed to materialise them. “KCR and Modi become CM and PM at the same time. But KCR transformed Telangana as a developed State,” KCR observed.

He said that the BJP believed in spreading hatred and enmity between religions. “I refused to be a part of the BJPs’ alliance so Narendra Modi arrested my daughter Kavitha. But I will not surrender,” he said.

Crowds chant ‘CM…CM’

The crowds at Nizamabad cheered lustily at the former Chief Minister’s bus yatra. He had to halt his speech as frenzied crowds raised slogans of “CM…CM” suggesting that they wanted him as Chief Minister.

KCR also made the public meeting interactive by asking several questions which evoked instant responses in loud voices in unison. The response of the massive crowds and their replies to the questions was interesting. “I heard Modi deposited Rs 15 lakhs in your accounts is it true,” he asked. While the crowd replied no, he said he heard that the people of Nizamabad received Rs 30 lakh as Nizamabad got a BJP MP. The crowd burst into laughter.
