KCR tenders resignation as Telangana Chief Minister

HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Sunday resigned from his post following the defeat of his party in the Assembly elections.

KCR’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD) P Rajashekar Reddy met Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan at Raj Bhavan and submitted the resignation of the Chief Minister.

Accompanied by his personal staff, KCR left for his farm house in Erravalli in two vehicles without any escort. KCR served as the Chief Minister for Telangana for two consecutive terms from 2014-18 and 2018-23, since the inception of the State.
