AMARAVATI: Eleven people including a district judge from Telangana died in different road accidents in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

A district court judge from Telangana, Mohan Rao, and his driver died when a bus of KVR Travels collided with their car at Ramavaram village in Jaggampeta mandal in Kakinada. The car then rammed into the bus stop. Judge Mohan Rao and his driver died on the spot.

Four people were killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Tirupati. The accident occurred when the car in which they were traveling hit a divider on the Putalapattu-Naidupet National Highway at Kongaravaripalle.

In Krishna district, a road accident took place in Kodurpadu of Bapulapadu Mandal. A car rammed into the stationary truck resulting in the death of Swaminathan (35), Rakesh (12), Radha Priya (14), and Gopi (31) travelling in the car died on the spot. Another person is also seriously injured.

In a freak road accident, constable Pilli Sunil Babu died in Guntur. The road accident took place on the main road in front of Udaya Hospital near Guntur Inner Ring Road at around 4 am.

Constable Pilli Sunil Babu met with the accident as he did not notice the speed breaker on the road. Sunil died on the spot. He was posted at Guntur East traffic police station. The police station staff is shocked by the death of a fellow constable.

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the death of several people in separate road accidents in the state.

He expressed anguish over the accidents at Kongavaram, Kodurupadu in Krishna district, and Rayavaram in Kakinada district.

He demanded financial assistance to the kin of the deceased. “The authorities should take immediate steps to provide better medical treatment to the injured,” he said in a statement. State BJP chief D Purandheswari also expressed shock over the death of eleven persons in different accidents.
