7 killed, 15 injured in ghastly road accident in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh

NELLORE: In a ghastly road accident, as many as seven persons were killed and 15 others were injured in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. However, the accurate number of casualties has yet to be ascertained.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred at Musunuru toll plaza on the National Highway.

While a lorry hit another stationary lorry. As ill-luck would have it, a private travels bus (Kaveri travels), which was coming in the opposite direction exactly at the same time, collided with the lorry head on.

The police reached the scene and launched rescue operations.

The police shifted the injured to a hospital. The number of casualties is likely to increase.
