KADAPA: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated several projects and laid foundation stones for several others in the Kadapa district on Monday.

YS Jagan inaugurated Rajiv Marg road developed for Rs 5.61 crore in Kadapa and laid the foundation stone for the new administrative building of the Kadapa Municipal Corporation.

Besides launching the developmental works of Rajiv Park, he also laid the foundation stones for the works of the ‘Major Smart Water Drainage System’, a drinking water supply system to weaker section colonies and the Kadapa Sewerage and Septage Management system.

He later visited the Kopparthi industrial estate and inaugurated a unit of AIL Dixon Technologies in the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC).

At the Dixon Technologies premises, he visited manufacturing sections of surveillance cameras, digital recorders and laptops. Company representatives explained to him the functioning of various units.

Several manufacturers entered into agreements with the home audio systems manufacturing company Channel Play and LED TV manufacturing company Techno Dam India for setting up their units.

Municipal Administration Minister A Suresh and Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, several YSRCP MLAs, MLCs and senior officials also participated in these programmes.

CM Jagan lays stone for Virtualmaze Softys

The Chief Minister laid foundation stone for the unit of the Virtualmaze Softys Private Limited at Kopparthi Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC).

Virtualmaze Softys, which has been engaged in virtual map-based software solutions since 2007, has come forward to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles, GPS tracker systems and smart PCB devices in an area of 7.210 acres with an investment of Rs. 72.10 crore providing employment to 1350 persons.

He also laid foundation stone for a unit of the TeknoDome, a subsidiary of the Arab-countries-based Alista group.

It will manufacture domestic appliances, home entertainment utilities, kitchenware, smart watches, gaming products, car audio systems and IT products in an area of 2.95 acres investing Rs. 52crore and providing employment to 200 persons.

As part of the MoUs signed with Channel Play and AIL Dixon Technologies, the two companies will expand their activities at Kopparth Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC).

AIL Dixon Technologies, which has already invested Rs.127crore, will expand its activities with an investment of Rs.80crore for manufacturing laptops, tablets and surveillance cameras. It will launch another unit with an investment of Rs.125.26crore providing employment to 836 persons.

Channel Play will start a unit at Kopparthi with an investment of Rs.100crore for manufacturing audio systems. It will provide employment to 2000 persons.

YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy, Municipal Administration Minister A. Suresh, Chief Secretary Dr K.S. Jawahar Reddy and District Collector V.Vijaya Rama Raju also participated in the programme.
