VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Telugu Academy Chairperson Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi, said she wrote ‘Alludu Suddulu’ a satire on political misfits Nara Lokesh and Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan to enlighten people about how they were thrust upon them by her son in law Nara Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister of the State.

Speaking at the book release function of ‘Alludu Suddulu’ (Gossip on son-in-law) in Satyanarayanapuram on Tuesday, she described Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan as two comedy characters in a serious political drama unfolding in the State.

“I wrote this political satire in Telugu, in a lighter vein that too in Chittoor slang as I like it personally and also because Chandrababu Naidu belongs to that district, I don’t know how far I have succeeded in doing so,” she said.

Explaining how difficult it was to write a satire without hurting anyone's sentiments, Lakshmi Parvathi recalled her 26-year-long fight against TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Nadu. “It is almost like a cat and mouse fight. I wrote against him many a time in a serious way but I thought a comedy will take my word close to the people,” she said explaining the reason behind writing the book.

She said that her protagonists in the book were two ineligible and unfit characters who were brought into politics and forcibly made leaders that the people doesn’t want. “Look at Lokesh, his behavior is like a comedian, he talks gibberish. I have documented his antics in my book. How can he be made a minister, he had no experience and was not elected by people,” Lakshmi Parvati added.

State Irrigation Minister Ambati Rambabu who unveiled the book, lauded the efforts of Lakshmi Parvathi for writing a political satire and urged people to read the book. “She is probably one of the few people who saw Chandrababu Naidu very closely and knows him very well, so its first-hand information,” he said.
