AMARAVATI: Members of Andhra Pradesh Power Employees Joint Action Committee (JAC) have called off their proposed indefinite strike from Thursday.

The talks held between the JAC and the Andhra Pradesh State Government were fruitful on Wednesday evening after the Cabinet subcommittee agreed to implement their major demands.

The demands of the JAC included pay revision and regularisation of contract employees. However, the JAC agreed to a 9 percent PRC against the 15 percent proposed by them.

On the other hand, the Cabinet sub committee also agreed for a master scale of Rs 2.60 lakh for the electricity employees.
