NEW DELHI: The Central Government has notified the appointment of four lawyers as additional judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday.

The four lawyers were Harinath Nunepally, Kiranmayee Mandava aka Kiranmayee Kanaparthy, Sumathi Jagadam and Nyapathy Vijay.

On October 10, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the elevation of four lawyers as judges of Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Union Minister of State (independent charge) for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal notified the appointment of four lawyers as additional judges of the AP High Court.

“In the exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following Judges/Additional Judges in the High Courts,” Arun Ram Meghwal said.

Meanwhile, the Central Government also notified the transfer of AP High Court Justice C Manavendranath Roy to Gujarat while additional judge Duppala Venkata Ramana was transferred to Madhya Pradesh. In August, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the transfer of two Andhra Pradesh High Court judges.
