AMARAVATHI: Ahead of the Andhra Pradesh SSC examinations beginning tomorrow i.e on April 3, the government has made all arrangements for the conduct of the examination successfully. State Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana on Saturday briefed the details about the examinations.

Stating that the department took all measures to ensure that there were no hassles for the students, Botcha Satyanarayana said that students had to reach the examination center before 9.30 am and clarified that there would be no entry thereafter except for valid reasons. The minister said that the students could avail themselves of the APSRTC bus services showing hall tickets.

According to the minister, the examinations would be conducted for six papers on six days wherein 6,09,070 students including 53,410 supplementary exam students would be attending in the state. The authorities have set up 3,349 examination centers with 682 flying squads, and CCTV cameras at 104 examination centers, and banned the usage of electronic devices including mobile phones inside the school premises where the exams are held. The education department has also provided an opportunity of providing headphones to visually impaired students to write the examinations.

Satyanarayana also said that half-day schools would begin on Monday for classes 1 to 9. He said that the classes would run from 7.45 AM to 12.45 PM and advised the students to go home only after midday meals.
