TTD says viral drone videos of temple fake

Alerted by the incident, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam officials have ordered an inquiry on the Instagram account holder

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) CVSO Narasimha Kishore said that the videos of TTD which were shot by a drone and were going viral on social media were fake. He said that the video was sent for forensic testing where it was found that it was not an original video.

The video of the Tirumala Temple, which appeared to have been shot by a drone camera went viral on social media, causing a stir in the temple city and leaving the officials of TTD in shock. The video was reportedly shared by an unknown person on the Instagram account named @Icon.

Alerted by the incident, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam officials have ordered an inquiry on the Instagram account holder and complained to the police.

The police started the investigation and based on the available information they found that youths belonging to Hyderabad shared the video shot by drone.

TTD CVSO Narasimha Kishore claimed that it was impossible to shoot the Tirumala temple with a drone camera amid high security. However, he said that they would take legal action against the perpetrators after examining the video.

On the other hand, the devotees were concerned over the drone videos and expressed anguish over the failure of vigilance officials in avoiding such incidents.
