HYDERABAD: AP CID has registered a case in the United States based on a complaint filed by Babu Rao who raised suspicions over the death of his son Ganguri Srinath. He accused Srinath's wife Sai Charani, uncle Sukhavasi Srinivasa Rao and aunt Rajashri for conspiring to kill his son.

According to details, Srinath and Sai Charani got married in December 2016. Srinath, who was working at Daveta's company in Virginia Way, settled with his wife there who came on a dependent visa. As soon as the couple went there, Charani said she agreed to the marriage after being forced by her parents Sukhavasi Srinivasa Rao and Rajashri. She also threatened to kill Srinath.

Baburao, who came to know about this issue through his son, escalated the issue to Srinivasa Rao who promised to pacify his daughter.

Charani, who was fine for a while, then started behaving eccentrically.

Srinath unfortunately died on October 16, 2022. His parents went to the US along with his son's in-laws. However, Charani did not even allow Srinath's parents to attend the funeral. When Srinath's parents asked Charani about the reason for their son's death, she said that they both went trekking to Yonohills for two days and asserted that Srinath fell into the valley.

Baburao tried to file a complaint with the police. However, Charani and her parents threatened them and sent them back to India. He then approached the AP CID who have now registered a case.
