AMARAVATHI: Andhra Pradesh government has come up with yet another unique program under the name 'Jagananna Animuthyalu' to honour meritorious students of SSC and Intermediate from government schools and colleges who secured top ranks in examinations.

The government has issued a GO No. 44 announcing the cash awards to the toppers at the state level, district level, and constituency level respectively. According to the GO, the government will extend a cash award of Rs. 15,000, Rs. 10,000, and Rs. 5,000 to the top three students in SSC and Rs. 15,000 for the top ranker in each group of intermediate at the constituency level. The event will be carried out on May 25 at mandal head quarter.

While coming to the district level, the cash award of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 30,000, and Rs. 15,000 will be extended to the top three students in SSC and Rs. 50,000 for the top student in each group MPC, BIPC, CEC, MEC and HEC of intermediate on May 27 at district headquarters.

It is also noted that a cash award of a whopping Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 75,000, and Rs. 50,000 was announced to the state-level toppers in the SSC examination followed by Rs. 1 lakh to the top one student from each of the branches in the intermediate exams. The distribution of cash awards event will be held in Vijayawada.

The government is working for the enhancement of infrastructure in the education and health sector and brought various programs, especially Nadu-Nedu. The government has also extended financial assistance to the students under the schemes Jagananna Amma Vodi, Jagananna Vasathi Deevena, Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, and Jagananna Gorumudda scheme.
