AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday heard a plea filed by a student alleging that his intermediate examination paper was not properly evaluated.

Mathukumilli Srivijay argued on behalf of the student. Following the arguments, the court directed the intermediate board to re-evaluate the student's answer sheet.

A student petitioned to the intermediate board to evaluate his answer papers after being unsatisfied with his intermediate marks.

However, the Intermediate Board failed to issue proper orders on the student's plea without carrying out an in-depth review. Therefore, the student appealed to the High Court.

Advocate Matukumilli Srivijay said the process of evaluation was incorrect. He said that certain answers were awarded by '0' makes by the examiners. He also claimed that evaluation was conducted by incompetent examiners.

Standing Counsel Rajeshwar Reddy argued on behalf of the Intermediate Board. After hearing both sides' arguments, the High Court concluded that the evaluation process was not transparent after reviewing the student's answer sheet. The High Court ordered the intermediate board to have the answer papers re-evaluated by two teachers, have the marks added by a third teacher, and hand over the student the final mark list within 10 days.
