AMARAVATHI: Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to release Rs.5,500 cr to pay the dues to Government Employees. Education

Minister Botcha Satyanarayana told media on Monday after three-hour-long discussions with various employees associations that the Government was seriously contemplating expediting the report of the Pay-Revision Commission (PRC) so that it could notify the same revising the salaries of the staff. However, the associations were asking for Interim Relief to the employees. Another round of discussions would happen soon with the employees associations.

The Government directed the officials to take necessary measures to clear the dues up to R:.5,500 crore before the end of next month. The employees associations leaders would explain the various heads under which the dues would be distributed.

The Government was committed to notifying the PRC recommendations before the election notification itself.

The State Government had already announced but ensured that orders were released for the payment of Rs.50 lakh ex gratia and also government job to one person for the family of the Mandal Revenue Officer who was murdered in Visakhapatnam.
