VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana released a provisional list of candidates on Thursday for admission into a six-year integrated course at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) for the Academic Year 2023-24. Counselling would be conducted for students between July 20 and July 25, 2023, the minister said.

Disclosing the details, Satyanrayana said that every year entrance tests would be conducted to fill 4,400 seats in RGUKT campuses at Nuzvid, RK Valley, Ongole and Srikakulam.

"As many as 38,355 students have enrolled for admissions into a six-year integrated course this year. Of this, 23,628 students enrolled for admissions from Government schools and the remaining 14,727 students are from private schools, he said.

“The State Government, with an intention to make the students industry ready, is offering a two-year internship, in the last two academic years of their six-year course,” Satyanarayana said.

Referring to the facilities upgrade at RGUKTs in the State, he said that recently, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had directed officials to improve infrastructure in the four campuses and complete recruitment for the vacant teacher posts at the earliest.

The minister said that infrastructure facilities were satisfactory at three campuses except at Ongole. "Steps are being taken to construct a new campus at Ongole. Tenders will be invited shortly and the works will be completed in the next two years," Satyanarayana added.
