DHARMAVARAM: Union Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah has said that the BJP-TDP-JSP joined hands to fight YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s corrupt, criminal, mafia and conversion politics of Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a joint public meeting along with TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Dharmavaram on Sunday, Amit Shah said that the BJP would win 100 seats in the first two phases and would reach the 400 mark by the end of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. He urged voters of Andhra Pradesh to elect MP candidates from the alliance and strengthen Narendra Modi at the Centre.

“The NDA in Andhra Pradesh will drive away ‘goondagiri’ and crime, eradicate corruption, land mafia. We will rebuild Amaravati to shape it as the State capital, restore the sanctity of Tirumala Balaji temple, and protect the Telugu language,” Amit Shah said.

Terming Polavaram as the lifeline of AP, he said that the Prime Minister already stated BJP’s commitment to complete the project in two years. “The Nara Chandrababu Naidu Government here and Narendra Modi at the Centre will complete the project,” he said.

Criticising the INDIA alliance as a group without a leader, Amit Shah wondered who would be their Prime Ministerial candidate if all the people voted them to power.

Praising Narendra Modi for building the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he said that only YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Rahul Gandhi did not attend the ‘Prana Pratishta’ of Ayodhya Sri Ram. “Will you vote for them?” he said.

Vote for NDA for Amaravati: Chandrababu Naidu

Chandrababu Naidu thanked Amit Shah for his commitment to Amaravati and Polavaram and said that on June 4, 2024, the BJP-TDP-JSP alliance would rededicate themselves for the completion of the Amaravati and Polavaram project. “If you vote for YS Jagan, there will be no capital for Andhra Pradesh. We will make Amaravati a number one capital city in the country with the active support of the BJP Government at the Centre,” Naidu said.

Reiterating his stand on the Land Titling Act, he said that YS Jagan hatched a nefarious plan to usurp the land rights of the people. “He is planning to give you Xerox copies of your land titles. What will you do with that paper,” he pointed out.

Demanding an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of those pensioners who died due to sunstroke and other health issues, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the YSRCP Government was responsible for their deaths.

Calling YS Jagan ‘Mareechudu’ a demon who changed his attire as he liked, Naidu said that Jagan who hatched the botched ‘Kodi Kathi’ and stone-pelting sympathy plans was frustrated and might resort to doing anything to gain votes. “Even I am worried about what his next plan is,” Naidu observed.
