NANDYAL: YSR Congress Party president and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son, Lokesh, be held accountable for the deteriorating law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan made these remarks after visiting the family of Subbarayudu, a recent victim of political violence in Seetharamapuram village, Nandyal district.

He accused the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of fostering a climate of fear and violence, alleging that the father-son duo of Chandrababu and Lokesh were complicit in these activities. He criticised the police for their inaction and demanded a thorough investigation into the recent spate of attacks on YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) workers.

"Law and order have completely broken down in the state," Jagan stated. "The TDP is using violence and intimidation to maintain its grip on power. The police are acting as mute spectators while our party workers are being targeted."

Jagan announced his intention to file cases in both the High Court and the Supreme Court regarding the attacks on YSRCP members. He urged the police to provide protection to YSRCP workers and to take strict action against those responsible for the violence.

He also criticised Chandrababu Naidu for failing to fulfill his promise to provide financial assistance to students. He claimed that if the YSRCP were in power, farmers would have already received financial aid.
