VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed his aspiration for tribal communities to lead in all sectors. He emphasised the need for development in remote tribal areas.

The AP government organised celebrations at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada to mark World Tribal Day. As the chief guest, Chandrababu Naidu danced with tribal women and played traditional drums. He also inspected Araku coffee products.

In his speech, Chandrababu Naidu acknowledged that tribal communities were still lagging behind. He recalled that the TDP government has been celebrating World Tribal Day annually. He expressed disappointment that the day had not been given due attention in the past five years. He praised the bravery, natural talent, and skills of tribal people, urging them to take inspiration from figures like Alluri Sitarama Raju and Ekalavya. He reminded the audience of Alluri Sitarama Raju's sacrifice in fighting British rule. Naidu also highlighted the rise of Draupadi Murmu, a former school teacher, to the position of President, encouraging others to draw inspiration from her journey.
