VIJAYAWADA: TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has written a letter to the Anti Corruption Bureau court judge saying that the police were circulating the video footage and photos in the jail illegally.

Naidu, who was arrested in the skill development case and lodged in Rajahmahendravam Central Jail, sent a letter to the ACB judge through the jail officials on October 25, which came to light on Friday.

In a three-page letter, Naidu expressing concerns about his safety and said, "I have Z-Plus security. When I came to jail, they took pictures and videos of me unofficially. The footage was leaked by the police themselves. This type of video footage was released to damage my reputation. Left wing extremists are conspiring to kill me. A letter regarding this has also been sent to the SP of East Godavari district. The police authorities have not conducted any investigation on that letter till now."

“It came to my attention that an accused from S Kota was taking visuals with a pen camera in the jail. Unauthorised drones are being flown over the jail for my movements. I think the people in the Government have flown these drones. On October 6 when my family members came to meet me, another drone was flown at the main gate of the central jail. Not only my safety, but I am worried that my family members are in danger. Over the course of four-and-a-half years, people in power attacked me on various occasions. Marijuana packets are being thrown at inmates gardening in the jail premises," Naidu said in his letter.
