KAKINADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has teared into the opposition parties- TDP and Jana Sena Party for carrying out their malicious propaganda against the YSR Congress Government through a section of media houses for benefitting the masses through various welfare schemes.

YS Jagan launched a mega housing colony at Samalkota town in Peddapuram Assembly constituency in Kakinada district on Thursday. He formally handed over the houses to poor women beneficiaries and inspected the facilities developed for them in the houses. About 2,000 housing units were completed in Samalkota, one of the biggest housing colonies taken by the YSRCP Government.

Addressing a public gathering, the Chief Minister termed Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan as ‘non-resident’ politicians and they knew nothing about social justice. “Naidu, his foster son Pawan Kalyan and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna do not reside in our State as they are least bothered about people’s welfare. People of AP have never seen Naidu continuously staying in the State for one month during the last 52 months. Now, they have got the opportunity to see him staying in AP, but in Rajamahendravaram Central Jail,” he said.

YS Jagan criticised that if people of AP wanted to meet Naidu and Pawan Kalyan they needed to visit Hyderabad, which shows how distant they were from the people. “Naidu, who claims to be the most senior politician in the country, is now constructing a house in Kuppam 40 years after his public life and at a time when the people are preparing to bid adieu to him permanently,”the Chief Minister said, and added that the YSRCP Government had distributed house site pattas to the poor and constructed houses for them in Kuppam.

The Chief Minister said, “People of Andhra Pradesh will remember Naidu for his scams, back-stabbing and irregularities done through Janmabhoomi committees. But people will remember YS Jagan for his schemes and welfare being done to them in the last 52 months.” YS Jagan also criticised that Naidu had opposed the introduction of English medium education to poor children and the latter even approached the Courts to stall the construction of houses for the poor and citied the decision would create an imbalance among the castes.

Launching a scathing attack on Pawan Kalyan, YS Jagan branded Pawan Kalyan as a ‘political volunteer’ and a ‘package star’ who was working at Naidu’s behest, “Pawan Kalyan is a permanent resident of Hyderabad and has a history of multiple marriages- local, national and international. The actor-turned politician has no respect for women and the marriage system,” he ridiculed.

Referring to the ‘use and throw’ policy adopted by Pawan Kalyan in politics, the Chief Minister described Pawan Kalyan as a businessman who sold out his party for a package to the TDP. The Jana Sena party president contested from Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram in the 2019 elections, after being defeated he did not bother about the people there. “Pawan Kalyan is visiting the State during his film shooting breaks to collect his package and to shield his stepfather Naidu, besides making allegations on the YSRCP Government which brought revolutionary changes in the State through various welfare schemes,” YS Jagan said.
