Daily routine of jail begins for Chandrababu Naidu
With the ACB Special Court allowing special treatment for former Chief Minister and Septuagenarian Nara Chandrababu Naidu, food from home reached him on his first day in jail

RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: With the ACB Special Court allowing special treatment for former Chief Minister and Septuagenarian Nara Chandrababu Naidu, food from home reached him on his first day in jail.
A pack of cut fruits, mostly papaya reached the Jail in a SUV on Monday morning. The police took Chandrababu Naidu to Rajamahendravaram Central Jail at 9.45 pm on Sunday night and handed him over to the jail authorities after midnight. The authorities allocated 7691 as the prisoner number for Chandrababu Naidu and put him up in the special cell in Sneha Block, a special block in the jail that was reserved for VIP prisoners. It had 13 barracks and provided all the necessary facilities for the inmates
Meanwhile, party sources said that even though the TDP president had two chances of ‘Mulaqat’ per week, he might opt to meet the lawyers at least during the first week as his bail and custody petitions were pending before the ACB court. While it was believed that Nara Bhuvaneswari, Nara Lokesh, and other close family members were expected to meet Chandrababu Naidu on Monday, the TDP sources said that there would be no ‘Mulaqat’ for anyone other than advocates on Monday.
The Andhra Pradesh police on the other hand strengthened security surrounding the Central Jail. No one other than the permitted few, carrying medicines and food for Chandrababu Naidu were permitted close to the entry gates.
