ECI shifts three district election officers, IG Guntur, SPs of Nellore, Chittoor, Anantapuram, Palnadu, Prakasam

In its order, the ECI directed that these officers should hand over the charge and should not be assigned to any election-related works till completion of simultaneous elections in Andhra Pradesh.

AMARAVATI: In a major shake-up of the administrative and police machinery in the poll-bound Andhra Pradesh the Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered the transfer of three district election officers, five Superintendents of Police, and one IG police with immediate effect on Tuesday.

Transferred district election officers are:

P. Raja Babu, IAS, DEO Krishna

M. Gowthami, IAS, DEO Anantapuram

Dr. Lakshmisha, IAS , DEO Tirupati

Superintendents of police:

Parameshwar, IPS, SP, Prakasam

Y Ravi Sankar Reddy, IPS, SP, Palnadu

Sh. P. Joshua, IPS, SP, Chittoor

K. K. N. Anburajan, IPS, SP, Anantapuram

K. Tirumaleshwar, IPS, SP, Nellore

Inspector General of Police

G. Pala Raju, IPS, IGP, Guntur Range

In its order to the Chief Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and the Chief Electoral Officer the ECI directed that these officers should hand over the charge to the officer immediately below in rank and these officers should not be assigned to any election-related works till completion of simultaneous elections to the Legislative Assembly and House of People, 2024 in Andhra Pradesh.

The CS was also requested that a panel of three Indian Administrative Officers (IAS) for each of the districts and a panel of three officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) for each of the incumbent posts of police officers be furnished by 5 PM on April 2, 2024, along with their APAR grading for the last five years and vigilance clearance to the Commission
