TANUKU: A massive broke out in a pandal set up for Ram Navami celebrations at Venugopala Swamy Temple at Tanuku in Andhra Pradesh's West Godavari district on Thursday.

The fire erupted as a result of a short circuit during the auspicious Ram Navami celebrations at Venugopala Swamy Temple, according to reports. The incident occurred in Duvva village of Tanuku Mandal in Andhra Pradesh.

The Fire tenders were pressed into service immediately. They rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Hundreds of devotees were immediately evacuated and saved. There were no casualties reported during the incident.
