AMARAVATHI: Andhra Pradesh Employees JAC, Amaravati, leader Bopparaju Venkateswarlu has demanded that the arrears and interim relief due to the employees be announced before the election notification in the State.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, he said that the number of women among government employees was more than 50 percent. That’s why AP JAC Amaravati had formed state and district women's units.

He said that this was the first time in the history of trade unions that women's units had been formed.

He said that the employees had fully cooperated with the YSRCP Government like never before.

He reminded that the employees had performed duties at the risk of their life even during Corona.

They were angry that the government was not paying the dues even after they cooperated with the YCP government well.

He said that in the past, “we have achieved non-financial demands by organising a movement.”

He said that still the financial demands were not resolved.

He said that the Cabinet sub-committee was whiling away its time without taking up the issue of dues with the government.

He said that the government owed Rs.6,700 crores to the employees.

Venkateshwarlu said that no surrender leave was sanctioned to the police.

He said that in the past, no government had ever kept the arrears of employees pending.

He said that as employees, they were not asking for bonuses but they were only asking for amounts due to them from the government.

He asked the government to pay the thousands of crores of rupees dues to the employees who had already joined the election duties.

He said that the health scheme itself was ailing. If it was cured, the employees would undergo treatment. He said that the network hospitals were refusing to treat the employees through Arogya Shree.

Bopparaju Venkateswarlu stated that the employees were completely disgruntled, dissatisfied and distressed that the government had neglected their dues.
