MANGALAGIRI: In a major political development, former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy on Saturday made it clear that he would not return back to the YSRCP and continue his political journey with YS Sharmila in future if she joins the Congress party.

He spoke to media for the second time after tendering his resignation to the YSRCP on December 11. Ramakrishna Reddy said, “I resigned from the YSRCP and sent the same in the Speaker's format and it is up to them to accept or not accept it. I thought of continuing in the politics only with the YSRCP. But now tendered my resignation, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy should answer about this.”

Ramakrishna Reddy said that several leaders invited him to join other parties. “I am loyal to YS Rajasekhar Reddy's family and soon disclose my future course of action,” he said. He criticised that the YSRCP Government had sanctioned a meagre of Rs 125 crore as against Rs 1,250 crore for the development of Mangalagiri constituency.

“I have done a lot of service to the YSRCP and lost everything. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy didn't noticed my efforts. I have spent money from my pocket for the development works in Mangalagiri which was not even done in the last five decades. The YSRCP should have principles. People in Mangalagiri are expecting development in the constituency,” Ramakrishna Reddy.

The former YSRCP leader said that around Rs 8 crore was taken as a loan from the private lenders to clear the dues of the contractors. “I am not blaming anyone. I didn't received enough support from the YSRCP leadership even after defeating Nara Lokesh in the 2019 Assembly elections. On several occasions, Chief Minister’s secretary K Dhananjay Reddy communicated to release funds for the constituency. Elections are approaching nearer when they will sanction the funds?”

On judicial fight in Chandrababu Naidu cases, Ramakrishna Reddy said that he would continue his fight on the cases filed against Naidu and he would not withdraw the Amravati Inner Ring Road (IRR) case. “I won't stop fighting the cases even Revanth Reddy is in the Congress or YS Sharmila joins the Congress. I won't bother Revanth Reddy is the Chief Minister of Telangana,” he said and added that he would even file cases against the YSRCP Government if it commited any irregularities.

The former MLA said that development in Mangalagiri constituency would not be stalled even he was not given a chance as an MLA in the forthcoming elections. “I didn't quit the YSRCP for denying ticket. Everyone is aware what happened between me, YS Jagan and Ganji Chiranjeevi,” Ramakrishna Reddy said.
