VIJAYAWADA: In the ongoing investigation over the stone attack on Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, TDP leader and contestant from Vijayawada Central Assembly segment Bonda Uma has alleged that the current Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has been misusing the police system.

Calling for a early morning press meet on Saturday after an increased presence of security personnel outside his residence and office in Vijayawada raising concerns of his possible arrest in the stone attack case, Bonda Uma said, "After the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is put in place, all the officials will come under the jurisdiction of the commissioner. But that did not happen in our state. The police are always harassing me. Yesterday around 100 policemen surrounded my office."

Saying that that the two accused in the case have been falsely arrested in the case, the TDP leader said, "IAS and IPS officers should hang their heads in shame. A minor was framed by producing a false birth certificate. The whereabouts of one of the accused in the case, Durga Rao,is still unknown. Why has he not been produced in the court yet? o you know that you have to produce an accused before a judge within 24 hours? Is there a law in the State? The Election Commission seems to not care about this. We ourselves asked for a CBI inquiry on the first day. Jagan still has the agencies in his pocket.
