HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP MP Vijaysai Reddy have sought permission from the CBI court here to go abroad.

On the occasion of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy's death anniversary on September 2, Jagan has planned to go to Idupulapaya and pay homage at YSR Ghat. He has then planned a Europe tour from September 2 to September 9, during which he would also be visiting his daughter who is studying in London. Vijaysai Reddy, on the other hand, has planned to travel to America, UK, Germany, Dubai and Singapore in the next six months for university agreements for the State.

Both Jagan and Vijaysai Reddy have filed petitions in the CBI court seeking permission to travel abroad. The court has sought the CBI's opinion on the matter and is likely to take a decision soon.

The CBI court had earlier imposed several conditions on Jagan and Vijaysai Reddy when they were granted bail in the disproportionate assets case. One of the conditions was that they would not be allowed to travel abroad without the court's permission.

It is not yet clear whether the CBI would object to Jagan and Vijaysai Reddy's request to travel abroad. However, the court is likely to take a lenient view given that both of them are public figures and their travel abroad is for official purposes.
