HYDERABAD: Consequent upon receiving notices from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy appeared before the investigative agency on Saturday.

Avinash Reddy entered into the CBI office through the rear gate of the office. The MP is being questioned in connection with the murder of former MP Y S Vivekananda Reddy, paternal uncle of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

The questioning is being lead by Delhi CBI Superintendent of Police Ram Singh. The questioning is purportedly lay centred around the screening of evidence on the day of the murder of Vivekananda Reddy. The CBI reportedly is basing on the evidence collected as part of the scene reconstruction.

Avinash Reddy had written to the CBI to keep the probe transparent and record the questioning in a video. He had also urged the CBI to allow him to appear before the agency along with his lawyer. The MP cried hoarse about a vilification campaign launched against him in the Y S Vivekananda Reddy murder case by a section of media.
