VISAKHAPATNAM: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP MVV Satyanarayana on Saturday ruled speculations of law and order issues were out of control in Visakhapatnam, following the kidnap case of his family members, auditor-friend.

Speaking to the media persons here, Satyanarayana made it clear that the incident happened purely targeting him for money and there were no connections with politics, business and real estate dealing. The accused had involved in several cases including a rape case and murder case. Prevention Detection (PD) Act was also registered against Hemanth in connection with the kidnap case, he said.

"I am unaware of Hemanth Kumar, main accused in the case. He worked as a real estate agent duping the public. Earlier, he misused the sticker of mine and my followers cautioned him. It's purely for money that Hemanth Kumar targetted my family for money," the MP said.

Reacting on the law and order issues, Satyanarayana said that his residence in Rushikonda was located little far away from the city. “Knowing this, the accused entered into my son Sarath Chandra 's house and deatined him. Later, they also called my wife Jyoti and auditor-friend G Venkateswara Rao and detained them for money,” he pointed out.

Taking a dig at TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, the MP said that the incident could be happened to any individual and in the case its due to lack of precautions by his family members. Police could not provide security to every house even for an MP or a common man. Following protocols, the police provided security for him and they cannot do for his son who was residing seperately in Rushikonda, he said.

It's not correct on the part of the Opposition leader to make remarks against the YSRCP government as the law and order in the State was under control. Reffering to the remarks of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Satyanarayana said that in last nine years during the BJP-led NDA rule, several reforms were taken such as revoking Article 370. Several also lost their lives due to communal clashes in Delhi and Gujarat and sought to know if it could not be considered as a failure.

The MP said that the incident had disturbed him personally. He commended the efforts of the Visakhapatnam Police for acting swiftly and unravelling the kidnap mystery within hours of lodging a complaint. The judiciary system should work quickly to prevent the recurrence of such incidents and the accused should be punished severely, Satyanarayana said.
