NEW DELHI: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh has met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and complained against the YSRCP government claiming that they were being harrassed with investigation besides arresting his father Chandrababu.

Nara Lokesh who met Amit Shah on Wednesday after the CID inquiry accused the YSRCP Government of misusing power and wreaking vengeance. He also expressed his concern before the Union Home Minister about the alleged attempts to trouble his mother, Bhuvaneshwari, and his wife, Brahmani, in the name of inquiry.

During the meeting, Amit Shah reportedly asked Lokesh about the number of cases filed against Chandrababu and himself to which the latter provided the details about the cases filed by the Jagan Government and their status in the trial court, High Court, and Supreme Court.

Amit Shah is also learned to have said that it was not appropriate to create trouble for a 73-year-old man with multiple cases and enquired about Chandrababu's health. He assured Lokesh that the central government was closely monitoring the developments in Andhra Pradesh.

The meeting was attended by Andhra Pradesh BJP state President Purandeswari and BJP Telangana President Kishan Reddy.

Meanwhile, Purandeswari responded to Lokesh's meeting with the Union Home Minister in her tweet and stated that it was proof enough to deny allegations that BJP was behind the arrest of Naidu.
