RAJAMHENDRAVARAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) general secretary Nara Lokesh expressed fear that there is a threat to his father and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) Lokesh said that his suspicion of a nefarious plan by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to assassinate his father further gathered ground after the death of a prisoner in the same jail. “I see a plan in the arrest of my father in a false case and efforts to keep him in the jail without letting him come out on bail,” Lokesh said.

“The security for the Z plus category political leader was sloppy, there were mosquitoes everywhere and our complaints to the jail authorities are not attended to,” he wrote.

Lokesh said that one prisoner named Ganjeti Veera Venkata Satyanarayana of Dhouleswaram of the rural mandal died due to Dengue in the jail. “The YCP Government wants a similar kind of end to my father,” he rued. I will hold the Government responsible for any harm meted out to my father,” he said.
