Nandamuri Taraka Ratna collapses during Lokesh padayatra, critical

KUPPAM: In a shocking incident, Nandamuri Taraka Ratna collapsed on Friday during Nara Lokesh's Yuva Galam padayatra in Kuppam. According to reports, he suffered a massive cardiac arrest and collapsed on top of a vehicle while taking part in the yatra.

He was immediately shifted to KC Hospital in Kuppam and is receiving medical treatment now. His condition was stated to be critical initially. A few reports which claimed that an angioplasty procedure was performed on him later, suggested that he was out of danger. All Nandamuri supporters have been taken aback by his unexpected hospitalization.

The entire Nandamuri family and fans heaved a sigh of relief after the doctors at the KC Hospital in Kuppam revealed that his pulse was revived and he was currently under intensive medicare at the hospital.

Initial reports claimed that Taraka Ratna was brought to the hospital with no pulse. Referring to that, the doctors at the KC Hospital said that when he was brought to the hospital, Taraka Ratna had no pulse and he his body turned blue. But, after their efforts, his pulse could be revived 45 minutes later. They expressed the hope that the Nandamuri scion would soon be on the road to recovery.

Following the development, the family is also reportedly contemplating to shift Taraka Ratna to Bengaluru for better medical treatment.

Unconfirmed reports also stated that an angioplasty had been performed on the 39-year-old actor and a stent had been placed in his coronary artery.

Taraka Ratna, a Tollywood actor, has been actively participating in TDP's political activities of late. He has also recently expressed his interest to take the plunge in the next elections.

Shifting Taraka Ratna to Bengaluru: Balakrishna

As anticipated, Taraka Ratna is going to be shifted to Bengaluru for better treatment. This was confirmed by Tollywood hero and TDP MLA from Hindupur Nandamuri Balakrishna in Kuppam. He said that arrangements were being made to shift Taraka Ratna to the Karnataka capital in an ambulance and by creating a green channel.

Appealing to the fans and supporters not to be agitated, Balakrishna said that the decision to shift him to Bengaluru was taken on the advice of the doctors. He said that there were 90 percent blocks in the left ventricle of Taraka Ratna’s heart. All other reports showed normal body functioning, he added.

The Hindupur MLA also said that TDP President Chandrababu Naidu was constantly in touch over phone and finding out updates about the health of Taraka Ratna.

Meanwhile, Junior NTR, another Tollywood top hero from the Nandamuri family, reportedly called up Balakrishna and enquired about the health condition of his cousin Taraka Ratna.
