VISAKHAPATNAM: Within just five days of the "Jagan Kosam Siddham" campaign, over 54 lakh citizens in Andhra Pradesh aligned with the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) to become star campaigners. These individuals disseminated Chief Minister YS Jagan's message and promoted the Navaratnalu Plus assurances promised to households across the state.

The districts of Konaseema, Eluru, and Kakinada recorded the most household visits during the campaign.

"In Andhra Pradesh, ordinary citizens stepped up to support the YSRCP as star campaigners even before elections. CM Jagan's approach of walking alongside common people and understanding their needs set him apart," said Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. He also highlighted the enthusiastic support from women who benefited from CM Jagan's transformative schemes. "Their active participation underscored the widespread trust and belief in CM Jagan's vision for a better Andhra Pradesh. By contrast, Naidu consistently opposed initiatives for the poor, as evidenced by his obstruction of welfare programs through the ECI," he added.

During the campaign, YSRCP members visited every household with a 'Star Campaigner Booklet' to garner public support for CM Jagan's five-year term and share his vision for the state. They also distributed 'Siddham' pens and badges, the YSRCP's 2024 Manifesto Table Calendar, designed to fit in a photo frame, as well as mobile and door stickers. Individuals interested in becoming star campaigners could give a missed call to 96120 96120 and receive an SMS confirmation with a unique Star Campaigner ID, such as FAN150004. A Star Campaigner ID Card was then issued, symbolising their commitment to the party's mission.
