Parents assault librarian for sexually harassing girls in Anantapur Kendriya Vidyalaya

ANANTAPUR: Tension prevailed in Kendriya Vidyalaya in Anantapur on Monday, when the parents of girl students thrashed the school librarian for his misbehaviour and sexual harassment towards them.

According to police, the librarian was identified as Bhanu Prakash Naik. He had been misbehaving with girl students for the last few days and threatened them with dire consequences if they disclosed the harassment details to anyone. Enraged parents rushed to the school and questioned Bhanu Prakash Naik about his misbehaviour towards girl students in front of the school principal. However, the librarian turned down their allegations. The enraged parents thrashed Bhanu Prakash Naik in the principal's room, the police said.

Later, the police took the librarian into custody and registered a case under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections. “A comprehensive investigation will be conducted into the incident. Speedy and strict action will be taken against the librarian,” the police added.
