VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan is walking a tight rope with regard to distribution of tickets especially in Anakapalle.

Pawan's brother Konidela Nagababu is eyeing the Anakapalle Parliamentary seat where former Minister and two-time Congress MP Konathala Ramakrishna also intends to contest. Ramakrishna joined the JSP and took the party's membership on January 25, 2024.

Nagababu, who contested the Narasapuram Parliamentary seat in 2019, lost to the YSRCP Rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. Since Raju is set to contest again, either from TDP or BJP, Nagababu is looking for the Anakapalle Parliamentary seat where the Kapu community holds a significant number.

However Konathala Ramakrishna is also eyeing the same seat. YS Sharmila, who recently took over the reins of Congress party, met Ramakrishna. Rumours were also rife that he may join YS Sharmila's clout, but Ramakrishna restrained, saying the visit was personal as they have family relations, and she came only to invite him for his son's wedding. A day later, he put an end to the rumours by taking the Jana Sena membership.

Sources indicate that Jana Sena is now asking for Anakapalle, Guntur, or Machilipatnam and Kakinada, where the party's internal reports suggest a favorable win.
