HYDERABAD: Janasena president Pawan Kalyan slammed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday, saying he should be conferred an 'Appu Ratna Award' for pushing the state into massive debts.

The actor-turned-politician took to Twitter and tweeted, "My best wishes to the Chief Minister for making Andhra (Andhra Pradesh) notorious for steep debts. Keep it up. Don't forget to increase your personal fortune. Let the state's money and growth go to 'Dogs,' but your personal wealth and possessions...' NEVER.' That's your spirit, CM ".

The YS Jagan-led YSRCP government is constantly lambasted by the opposition parties for going overboard in securing heavy loans to distribute freebies and thus taking the state to the brink of a severe debt crisis.

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan’s specific taunts on the debts of the state and the mocking of the Chief Minister comes on a day when a section of the media highlighted the state’s finances with the same hashtag #AppuRatna. The Jana Sena President has been claiming that the State government had incurred huge debts in the last nine months.
