AMARAVATHI: Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has expressed his regret over mediating between the TDP and the BJP.

Addressing party workers, he said that he regretted the initiative he had taken to mediate on behalf of the TDP with the BJP for the former’s entry into the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

He wanted the BJP join the TDP-JSP alliance and contest along with them with a seat-sharing adjustment.

He had earlier claimed that he had to touch the feet of the BJP leaders to agree to contest in alliance with the TDP.

He said on Thursday that he regretted big time and decided never to negotiate on behalf of anybody.

“I went with a good intention. I went with a large heart. But we have to become small,” he said in a tone of remorse as Jana Sena had to reduce its share of seats in the Lok Sabha and Assembly.

The TDP had cut down Jana Sena seats from 24 to 21 in the Assembly and three to two in the Lok Sabha contests.
