RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: The authorities of Rajamahendravaram Central Prison on Friday denied the ‘mulaqat’ facility application filed by Nara Bhuvaneswari to meet her husband and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who was sent for judicial remand in AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) scam.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) took strong exception to the jail authorities for denying the mulaqat application even though there were provisions for utilising the facilities thrice a week. She alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Government filed illegal cases against Naidu in the scam and kept him in jail. Bhuvaneswari also expressed her anger towards the jail authorities for not being allowed to meet her husband through the mulaqat facility.

Bhuvaneswari has been staying in Rajamahendravaram since Naidu was kept in jail. She, along with Nara Lokesh and her daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani met Naidu through mulaqat facility on September 12 and expressed her concern over his security in the jail.
