Robbers slit throat of doctor, steal jewellery in Machilipatnam

MACHILIPATNAM: A doctor was brutally hacked to death by unknown assailants at her house in Machilipatnam of Krishna district. The deceased was identified as Macherla Radha, wife of prominent pediatrician Umamaheswara Rao, from Javvarpet. The assailants slit her throat and stole the gold ornaments that she was wearing.

Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the location and started gathereing evidence with the help of clues team and a dog squad. They shifted the dead body to the Government Hospital for postmortem. DSP Madhav Reddy stated that special teams have been formed to apprehend the suspects involved in the heinous crime. Speaking to the media, Dr Umamaheswara Rao said that they did suspict anybody and asserted that it could be the handy work of robbers.
