Six suspended for goods train derailment in Kadapa

HYDERABAD: The Guntakal Division Senior Divisional Operations Manager Shravan Kumar on Tuesday issued an order to suspend six employees in connection with the goods derailment incident at Kadapa railway station.
It was learned that the Nandyal demo train had derailed on August 9, 2023. Upon investigation, higher authorities found that the incident happened as a result of staff negligence and gave orders on their suspension on Tuesday.
The suspended personnel include Kadapa station manager D Narasimha Reddy, deputy traffic inspector Ramesh Reddy, station superintendent Lal Babu Singh, senior GTM Kaseem, points woman Shanti, and pointsman Pratap.
Additionally, the officials had also issued orders to restrict anyone from leaving Kadapa without prior permission.
