VIJAYAWADA: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Court on Friday posted the further hearing of the interim bail petition of Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) scam to September 19, 2023.

The ACB Court also asked the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to file counter in the meanwhile. After hearing the arguments from both parties, the judge referred to the Quash petition that was posted to a later date at the AP High Court and felt hearing arguments on the bail petition would not be maintainable.

Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday filed an interim bail petition with the ACB Court in the APSSDC scam case. In his petition, Naidu contended that the CID had registered a case against him though there was no prima facie evidence of his role in the case. Apart from that, there was also no mention of his name in the complaint filed by the APSSDC chairman. With a political vendetta, the State Government implicated him in the scam. Considering all the above factors, Naidu appealed to the court to grant him bail.
