TIRUMALA: At a time when the opposition parties are squarely blaming the YSRCP government for misusing the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) ‘SRIVANI Trust’ tickets, TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy came up with a stern warning to counter the offensive. He said that strict action would be taken if false allegations are made against the Srivani trust and soon a whitepaper would be released on the matter.

Speaking after participating in the TTD trust board meeting here, YV Subba Reddy came down heavily on the opposition parties for making false allegations against the TTD for political reasons. He condemned the outrageous allegations of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) that the YSRCP leaders were pilfering the funds of Srivani trust. The main objective of establishing Srivani trust is to propagate ‘Hindu Dharma’ besides the construction of Lord Sri Venkateswara temples across the country, he said.

‘’So far, the TTD has constructed 2,445 temples in the Southern states including Andhra Pradesh with the funds of Srivani Trust, besides repairing 250 ancient temples. Soon, we will release a white paper on Srivani Trust funds. There was no misappropriation of Srivani Trust funds. We are giving a receipt for every single rupee given by the donors. Legal action will also be initiated and cases will be filed against the leaders making false allegations against the Srivani Trust,” YV Subba Reddy said.

Meanwhile, TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu has also asked the TTD to disclose its failure in providing receipts to the donors of Srivani trust and wanted to know where the funds are being diverted to. Speaking at the party's extensive meeting at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri on Monday, Chandrababu Naidu said that those indulging in sacrilegious acts against Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy would go to dogs and they would be punished for their sins.

It may be recalled here that, a few days ago, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, during his ‘Varahi Yatra’ in Pithapuram in Kakinada district, alleged that the YSRCP government was eyeing the properties of the temples. Stating that there was no receipt for donation to Srivani trust in Tirumala, he expressed his dismay over the diversion of money allegedly by the government and warned that those who misused the funds of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy would be punished by the Almighty.
