HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary Nara Lokesh will break his Yuva Galam Padayatra on Sunday.

He will reach Hyderabad to pay homage to his first cousin Nandamuri Taraka Ratna who passed away in Bengaluru a while ago.

Lokesh embarked on a 4,000-km-long Padayatra christened as “Yuva Galam”. In fact, Taraka Ratna joined Lokesh at Kuppam on January 27 when the Padayatra began. Soon after the commencement of the match, he swooned and collapsed owing to cardiac arrest. Lokesh had visited him in Kuppam Hospital.

However, Lokesh continued his Yatra, while Taraka Ratna was being treated at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bengaluru.

As Taraka Ratna breathed his last on Saturday night, Lokesh has taken a break to meet the family. Lokesh expressed his grief over the demise of Taraka Ratna saying that the latter matched his step with him to be in support of him in the Yatra and now the steps stopped.

TDP supreme N Chandrababu Naidu expressed his shock and grief over the death of Taraka Ratna. Naidu said that Taraka Ratna’s death caused severe grief and shock to him and a pall of gloom descended on his family.
